Traditional folktales in and around the fabled Castle Obersee. Spread across two series, the stories contain magic, twists, turns and the odd puzzle.
Series one is complete, series two in progress...
Series 1 follows the exploits and problems of the Anthologist. Brought in to audit Castle Obersee’s library he’s never far away from trouble or Queen Anteje’s enemies.
Series 2 sees the appointment of the castle’s new head gardener Lotte Thorsvedt. She can’t resist solving curious local puzzles and the occasional accusation of witchcraft.
SERIES 1
FINDING THE FORGER
An Anthologist working at Castle Obersee must find a forger to protect a much sought after manuscript. But before the manuscript can be forged it has to be found and the forger rescued from an evil adversary.
The Anthologist hears about a journal that belonged to a man called Josiah McDonald. For the Anthologist it could hold the key to a much bigger secret.
A man is on trial for hysterical behaviour, but his peculiar account of a ghoul and a gravestone has deeper significance for the Anthologist and a vampire.
The Anthologist joins a raucous funeral party and finds himself at the centre of a rumour: the stealing and concealing of gold coins and their reappearance in locally produced pies.
The Anthologist and the Queen work together when a cruel Duke abducts a blacksmith’s daughter and forces her to act as a siren to lure boats on the Koenigsee to run aground.
An enormous pumpkin, grown during a severe drought, raises the suspicions of the villagers and baffle’s the castle’s new head gardener Lotte Thorsvedt.
Lotte sends the villagers into panic mode after knocking over a large bell. The only way to calm them down is to get help from a mysterious lumberjack.
A bonus story to end Series 2. The village is invaded by storytellers. One face is familiar to Lotte and his presence casts doubt on the entire existence of Queen Anteje and Castle Obersee.
